ANDREW GRISHAMPrior to Medical Properties of America, Andy served as Director of Corporate Real Estate for Vanguard Health Systems, a for-profit hospital company with annual revenue of over $6B and a portfolio of thirty hospitals. While at Vanguard, Andy was responsible for managing over $750 million in MOB assets totaling over 4 million square feet. Andy also lead the acquisition and development process for several million square feet of the portfolio. The portfolio included specialty hospitals, MOBs, cancer centers, and freestanding emergency departments. Vanguard Health Systems was sold to Tenet Healthcare in 2013. After the Vanguard sale to Tenet, Andy formed MPA to pursue his long-term goal of creating a platform to acquire and develop medical real estate.
From 1999-2003, Andy was the Chief Financial Officer of a medical office acquisition company. This company executed $60 million in acquisitions representing thirteen MOBs in five states. The portfolio was sold to a public REIT in 2003. In his role, Andy secured and managed a $100 million equity commitment and managed the capital structure of the company, including debt financing. Additional responsibilities involved asset management and acquisition underwriting. As CFO, he was a member of the Management Committee responsible for overall management of the company.
From 1988-1999, Andy worked in commercial lending for AmSouth Bank in various roles. At AmSouth he developed his expertise in lending to healthcare companies with a focus on medical office properties.
Andy received his M.B.A. from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management and his B.S. in Finance and Economics from the University of North Alabama, where he graduated with honors in an accelerated three-year program.
Andy is active in the medical office industry and is a frequent speaker/panelist at industry events and programs.
MATT GEHRINGIn Matt’s Investments role he is responsible for managing & coordinating property acquisitions and dispositions. This includes sourcing, underwriting & evaluating, valuation analysis, negotiating, due diligence, and closing transactions. MPAs Asset Management objectives are to deliver value for our tenants while achieving/exceeding investment projections for our investors. This is accomplished through operations management, property-level budgeting and analysis, resolving variances, property management, and leasing.

Prior to joining MPA, Matt spent 19 years in the investment industry performing various functions including portfolio management, investment analysis, and institutional equity sales. Matt started his career with a telecom manufacturing company performing financial planning and analysis.
Matt has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Hope College and a M.B.A from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
RUSSELL S. BRADLEY, CPARussell has more than 30 years of public and private company financial experience, of which ten of those years are in the real estate industry. Since 2014, he served as the Controller for Medical Properties of America, Inc. He is responsible for the consolidated financial statements, compiling annual property and corporate budgets, tax preparation assistance, weekly cash management & processing, payroll processing and research and implementation of all new accounting standards.
Prior to Medical Properties of America, Inc., Russell served as the Director of Accounting & Finance for Skin Solutions, a multi-office dermatology practice, Sr. Accounting Specialist for Diversified Specialty Institutes, a 100+ renal facility management company, Director of Accounting for Medcap Properties, a 200+ medical office portfolio/management company, Controller for Folk-Jordan, a multi-office residential/commercial real estate brokerage company, and Controller for Aegis Analytical Laboratories, a national drug testing company. Prior to these positions, he worked in public accounting, religious publishing and the music entertainment industries. His experience includes financial reporting & analysis, budget preparation, cash management, accounting operation management and internal/external audit services.
Russell is a certified public accountant in the State of Tennessee and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tennessee Technological University.
